The impression of Bhutan

Gateway to Bhutan. Jaigaon, India - The elegant Bhutanese style architecture is the gateway to Bhutan. Behind the gateway is the Bhutanese border city which called Phuentsholing


People queue up before the gateway to Bhutan. Jaigaon, India - Principally, each foreigner have to get a visa before crossing the border. But sometimes the checking is not so strict


The difference between India and Bhutan. Jaigaon, India - There is a wall between Jaigaon and Phuentsholing. There are two sharply different worlds in it's either side


Street scene of Phuentsholing - Comparied with cities in India, Phuentsholing is relatively much more clean and tidy. Besides, most buildings have some features of local culture. Especially fore the buildings owned by government, sometimes you will mistake them as temples

The early morning of Zangdopelri gompa, Phuentsholing - You can see this kind of ritual in all Tibetan Buddhism regions. There is no exception for Bhutan


Bus station. Phuentsholing - Even the bus station also looked somewhat similar to a temple. Unfortunately that I never saw a clean bus station like this during my trip in India
